How To Hack HyppTV Android Box (Huawei EC6106V)
Good news everyone , if you are using the new HyppTV box with Android. There is an exploit out there which allows you to run Play Store , install apks and basically transform the boring HyppTV into something new.
This enables roots , allows you to install a lot of programs from the Play Store (and other Google Apps) to the HyppTV box , which takes the HyppTV box to entirely a new level
Things You Need :-
Step 1
Download the ready made gapps-hypptv.zip It contains the basic Google framework and play store which allows you to download apps from Play Store
[ADVANCED USERS] If you are interested to make your own package (bundled with your own apps and apk) you may want to get this. It contains a guide on how to bundle your own applications and such.
Step 2
Rename gapps-hypptv.zip to update.zip . Then Put the update.zip inside Pen Drive – Make sure your Pen Drive is formatted as FAT
Step 3
Plug in the USB Pen drive to HyppTV . Then turn HyppTV STB off To do so go behind the HyppTV STB and turn it off , there is an OFF/ON Toggle. Next , take the remote , press and hold the ON button and turn the HyppTV On.
If you do it correctly you’ll get a screen something like this
Using Remote Control , go to Apply Update from External Storage and choose the update.zip
WARNING : PLEASE DO NOT TURN OFF THE HYPPTV STB WHEN IT IS UPGRADING ! THIS IS IMPORTANT
Once it is done , it will reboot
Step 5
Go to Applications and Voila , you should see Play Store and such. Enjoy !

- Not all applications may work. Some may crash , some may not work. It is trial and error
What If my HyppTV died/gave problems?
Well , you may try to follow Steps 1 to 3 again , this time selecting Factory Reset option. !

- A Pen Drive – which is <4GB (can work with >4GB , but recommended) . Please format it as FAT32/FAT and not as NTFS or other format. This is very important
